Sarracenia ‘Bug Bat’ – Red‑Hooded Carnivorous Pitcher Plant- Sarracenia Hybrid
Sarracenia ‘Bug Bat’, a stunning carnivorous pitcher plant cultivar that has striking red-hooded pitchers, chartreuse bases, and decorative white speckling!
This hybrid pitcher plant features upright, pointed hoods that are cinnamon-red, fading into chartreuse green at the base, with small white “windows” (areoles) on the hood backs.
Believed to be a cross potentially derived from S. alata × S. psittacina × S. minor var. okefenokeensis, first cultivated by David Crump (originating from a seedling by Larry Mellichamp).
